Western Blot of Interleukin-1-stimulated 293 cells showing specific immunolabeling of IKAP.
Anti-IKAP (N-terminal) Antibody
Bulk Order Anti-IKAP (N-terminal) Antibody
The transcription factor NF-kappaB coordinates the activation of numerous genes in response to pathogens and pro-inflammatory cytokines, and is, therefore, vital in the development of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases. NF-kappaB is activated by cytokine-activated IKB kinases (IKKs); IKK-alpha and IKK-beta isozymes are found in large complexes These large, interleukin-1-inducible IKK complexes have been found to contain a new protein, termed IKK-complex-associated protein (IKAP), which can bind NIK and IKKs and assemble them into an active kinase complex. IKAP is a scaffold protein and a regulator for three different kinases involved in pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling.
Antigen Affinity Purified
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids from the N-terminal region of human IKAP protein
Recommended that the undiluted antibody be aliquoted into smaller working volumes (10-30 uL/vial depending on usage) upon arrival and stored long term at -20° C or -80° C, while keeping a working aliquot stored at 4° C for short term. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Stable for at least 1 year.
PBS + 0.02% NaN3
WB Brain: 1:500-1:1000
Reacts with the N-terminus of human IKAP protein. Sequence is 92% identical to rat and 85% identical to mouse.
Western blots performed on each lot.
